Overview

You will assist the Divisional Equipment Manager with the coordination of the equipment and licensed vehicle inventory, maintenance and repair work, dispatch of technicians. Reconciles monthly billing to projects for company owned equipment and vehicles.

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, a 17.6-mile engineering marvel connecting Virginia’s Eastern Shore to Virginia Beach, is undergoing a groundbreaking expansion with the Parallel Thimble Shoal Tunnel. This transformative project includes the construction of a new two-lane bored tunnel stretching from Island #1 to Island #2 beneath the Thimble Shoal Channel. Once completed, the new tunnel will accommodate southbound traffic, while the existing tunnel will serve northbound travelers, doubling capacity and improving traffic flow and safety.

What you will be doing

  • Coordinates and maintains equipment documentation and records for assigned projects or Division, including serial numbers, VIN, models, title, insurance, rental and usage rates.
  • Coordinates and codes usage reports and invoices to ensure on-time payment with equipment rentals and project costs.
  • Supports accounting team with invoice reconciliation for month-end and annual
  • Processes Bill of Sale documents, at the direction of
  • Coordinates and tracks all equipment and vehicle licensing, inspections, maintenance and repairs to assigned projects or Division. Establish and maintain equipment records and equipment data base for the project 
  • Initiates and monitors fuel card program for company vehicle and employee allowance program. Submits reporting to HR and payroll within prescribed timeline to ensure accurate employee fuel taxation in alignment of the company policy and agency regulations.
  • Manages Toll Roads account and code report for approved users.
  • Submits weekly Mechanic’s timesheets to payroll.

What we are looking for

  • Associate’s Degree in Construction Management, Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience with construction equipment planning, scheduling, basic budgeting, basic accounting practices required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) preferred.
