Senior Buyer

As a Senior Buyer, you play a crucial role in the procurement process, driving the sourcing of materials and equipment essential for our operations. You will lead initiatives to engage with vendors, gather competitive quotes and facilitate the purchasing process. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to shape our supply chain and ensuring the smooth flow of operations. This position will be supporting our High Speed Rail Project and will sit in Selma California. 
You will lead efforts to source material and equipment through vendor calls, gathering quotes and facilitating product purchasing with guidance and approval from procurement team

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in materials sourcing and/or rental equipment
• Responsible for all purchasing duties and functions
• Establish a network of vendors to gather quotes for identified products and materials, at the direction of the Operations Team.
• Records goods ordered and received; assists with accounts payable
• Facilitates purchases with vendors at the direction of the Operations
• Responsible for all sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing of materials and rentals on a best value basis..
• Proven ability to accurately track status of orders after issuance of Purchase Order and monitors inventories.
• Liaise with MWDBE Program Coordinator to ensure compliance with the Project MWDBE Program requirements.
• Prepares reports and correspondence as needed
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan. 
• Support published corporate policies
• Perform additional assignments per management’s direction. 

• High school diploma / GED required. 

• 5 years minimum related experience required.  
• Heavy civil procurement/purchasing experience highly preferred.

• Exceptional communication and organization skills required.
